Breathing Color Timeless Instructions 

Step 1:

Prep Stir the entire container of Timeless thoroughly to make sure the consistency of the coating is even, especially if it has been sitting on a shelf for an extended period of time. Only remove the amount of Timeless that you intend to use. Replace lid on the Timeless container immediately to prevent prolonged exposure to air.

Step 2:

Application Pour the measured Timeless directly into the paint cup/hopper on the HVLP Spray Gun.

Important Note: If you experience sputtering or inconsistencies when spraying it may be necessary to dilute your Timeless with approximately 10% distilled water. Some HVLP guns may come equipped with a small diameter nozzle, which might prevent a perfectly smooth spray pattern.

If using an air compressor setup, adjust the air pressure according to your guns manufactures recommendations – Usually 30-40 PSI working pressure. If no PSI gauge, set to “low” or lowest power setting.

If working with an adjustable pattern nozzle, choose a wide fan pattern. It is best to spray your prints at a 45-90° slant as opposed to flat on a table. Hang your prints directly on a wall or attach to a rigid substrate and lean against a wall.

Using a smooth flowing motion, spray your prints with your HVLP gun moving your hand at approximately 1 foot per 1 second.

Pan from left to right, and right to left overlapping strokes approximately 50%.

Your prints should appear wet and slightly milky.

The first coat is the most important and should be applied as thick as possible while avoiding dripping. For some applications a second or even third coat may be applied if necessary.

Step 3:

Unused Timeless Once Timeless has been removed from its original container for an extended period of time, it should not be returned to the remainder of your gallon.

Unused or leftover Timeless must be stored in a SEPARATE absolutely air tight container. Leftover Timeless MUST be used within 2 weeks from original opening date. Leftover Timeless should be strained for particulate before attempting to use on a fine art print. A coffee filter or cheese cloth works perfectly for straining.
