This course runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Wednesday 5th & Wednesday 12th March 2025.
It is a 14 hour workshop – held over 2 sessions of 7 hours each.
In this day & age, everyone seems to be desktop publishing – media & advertising agencies, schools & hospitals, government departments, small businesses, not-for-profit & community organisations, etc. Unfortunately though, many people have found themselves in a designer’s role without any formal training and may feel overwhelmed by it all.
In this 2-day course, participants will learn:
the fundamentals of good design and how it enhances readability and effectiveness of communication; purpose & visual literacy; document layout, typography and colour; corporate identity & publications.
Principles will be practiced through Adobe® InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator.

Epson Print Academy: Weekend Workshop
This course runs from 10:00am to 4:30pm Saturday 15th March 2025

True Colour 1 – Intro to Colour Management
This 3 hour seminar introduces the concepts of Colour Management and covers everything you will need to know to get great images out of your Epson Photo series printer — first time, every time.
1:30pm to 4:30pm
True Colour 2 – Fine Art printing
This 3 hour workshop deals with: printing on various fine-art papers, canvas and other fine-art media; generating and using profiles to give you the best results; further develops the concepts of Colour Management introduced in True Colour 1 and specifically looks at printing Fine Art images for exhibition and competition.
We also provide a downloadable resource package to each participant after the course.

Adobe® After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application used in the post-production process of filmmaking and television production. It is primarily used by video editors to create motion graphics and also visual effects. Premiere Pro – Essentials
This course runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday 31st March & Tuesday 1st April 2025.
This is the first course in our Video Post-Production series.
It provides instruction on how to create professional videos.
Designed for Video creators and producers; creating a documentary, editing a commercial or pumping out video bytes for their Social Media channels.
Upon completion of this 2-day course, students will be able to:
- customise the interface to suit different tasks and projects
- set up a project – import and organise media
- perform editing essentials – including working with the timeline, clips & markers; adding transitions; trimming & nesting clips; and putting motion in clips.
- edit and mix basic audio soundtracks and narration/voice-overs
- correct colour
- add video special effects
- work with multiple layers
- create titles
- manage simple video projects
- output to a range of different industry standard file formats.
Adobe® Premiere Pro CC 2024 will be used in class. It is much less applicable to earlier versions of the software.
